Happy Friday, everyone. Hope the weekend brings you some good times outdoors (I hear it's going to be warmer here in Northern California).
Yesterday's row almost didn't happen. One of the good/bad things about rowing in the dark is that we can't see the waves we're heading into. But we can hear the wind as it jingle-jangles the lines of the sailboats moored in the marina.
Erg or row? Row.
Wet. Cold. Dark. Rough. We were soaked by waves even before we were out of the channel. The fun didn't stop. I could've kept a goldfish in the boat swimming by my feet with all the water coming over the gunnels (that is, if goldfish liked saltwater.).
But, hey, by the time I really woke up, it was all over and we were back at the dock. And I was on my way to my first coffee of the day. Bliss.
