Week two of 2013 and I'm getting antsy. My rowing partner defected to Disneyland with his family for a vacation and every day that I've thought about taking my flat-water single out for a spin, work or wind have conspired to stop me. Landlocked. Damn.
So, once again, back into the archives for a shot taken on an early summer row. As I look out the window of my Sausalito studio, the waters of the bay are steely grey and flags are fluttering. Not exactly inviting out there.
So it looks like I'm just going to have to dream about rows past today and go for a hike instead. It's just one day, just a drop in the ocean. I'll be out there soon.
